Make Road Trips More Fun
Madison area On-The-Go Tech can install a mobile video system to provide hours of excitement to your passengers. They also install in-dash GPS navigation systems to keep the road trip efficient and safe. If you and your family spend time on the road, you’ll appreciate what mobile video solutions On-The-Go Tech’s expert installation technicians offer for your specific vehicle.
Video screens are available installed in replacement headrests that exactly match the factory upholstery material and color. Screens range from 7” to 10” and some have built in DVD players, USB ports and SD card slots to provide a variety of media choices as well as wireless headphones to listen. On-The-Go Tech can even connect the video system into the car’s audio system so that everyone can enjoy the sound. By replacing the headrests, it preserves your original headrests so the video system can be removed if the vehicle is sold or on a lease that requires returning it to original condition. By having one screen in each headrest, it provides each rear passenger their own personal viewing screen.
Mobile video screens that are mounted in the headliner flip down when in use and then fold up neatly away when not in use. They typically mount centrally in the vehicle’s headliner and are secured to the roof truss supports with metal brackets so there is no chance of dislodging the unit in a crash. Screens are typically larger than headrest screens, starting at 10” and going up to 24” or larger. This makes an ideal choice for a single unit to provide viewing for many passengers, including six and nine passenger vehicles like Chevy Suburban, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Ford Expedition, large vans and limousines. Many overhead screens have built in DVD players and media slots (SD card, USB, etc.). Wireless headphones and a remote control are also included with many overhead screens, or available as options.
Tablet Mounts and Charging
On-The-Go Tech also offers a wide range of mounts for tablets like iPad®, Android™ and Kindle to provide a safe way to enjoy the mobile device without worry of it becoming a projectile in a sudden stop or accident. They can also hard wire a charging solution to keep the tablets charged while passengers enjoy the video or gaming content. Have On-The-Go Tech add wireless RF or Bluetooth headphones and you have a much safer and reliable way for passengers to enjoy tablet devices without significant disruption to the driver.
A fun and productive road trip isn’t just about passengers watching movies or playing games; it’s also about getting to the destination on well-chosen and efficient routes. On-The-Go Tech installs the latest technology of in-dash GPS navigation systems with screens up to 9” featuring up-to-date (upgradable) maps, clearly spoken voice commands and touch screen controls. An in-dash GPS navigation system is also self-contained, so while it does receive GPS satellite data, it doesn’t require any cellular data like using maps or navigation on your smartphone.
Does your car already have an in-dash LCD screen, but lacks GPS navigation? No problem. On-The-Go Tech can often add GPS navigation to appear on your in-dash screen as if it were factory installed. This also creates an opportunity to add a reverse camera or auxiliary audio inputs at the same time.
